The proposed master plan update for Villages B2, C and D will meet or exceed requirements for both parks and open space.
Village B2 will provide approximately 15 acres of Neighborhood parkland, which exceeds the city’s requirements under the recently updated Park Land Dedication Ordinance (PLDO) of 14.05 acres for a neighborhood park given the proposed density in Village B2. Village C and D will include a minimum 35-acre community park that will be separated from homes and will include features similar to neighborhood parks.
Amenities being considered for the neighborhood and community parks in Villages B2, C and D include:
The PLDO requires a larger Community Park of at least 35 acres. A more centrally located site for this future park will be in Village C just south of Dublin Boulevard. This master plan update includes carrying over the Community Park land dedication into the future villages south of Dublin Boulevard, per the map below.
The size and density of Village B2 requires the dedication of 17 acres of Community Park land. Oakwood is proposing a 35-acre Community Park in the future Village C.
Oakwood plans to continue to provide smaller “pocket parks” in the future communities. Those parks will be identified, planned and programmed as the more detailed development plan process takes place.
Oakwood is also committed to and is planning to complete at least four additional clubhouse-type amenities in each of the future villages (A, B, C and D).
The Village B2 update provides approximately 15 acres of Neighborhood parkland, which exceeds the city’s requirements under the recently updated Park Land Dedication Ordinance (PLDO) of 14.05 acres for a neighborhood park given the proposed density in Village B2.
