Banning Lewis Parkway Update

Oakwood Homes is working with an adjacent developer to ensure the timely completion of Banning Lewis Parkway to Woodmen Road.

• Banning Lewis Parkway is constructed through the Oakwood portion of the BLR corridor.
• One piece that continues to be a concern for residents, but is outside of Oakwood’s direct control, is the section of Banning Lewis Parkway connecting to Woodmen Road. 
• Oakwood has been working with Norwood Development Group—the developer of the area north of Villages 2, B1 and B2—to get a more certain timeline on that work. 
• According to Norwood, “the anticipated completion of this construction, culminating in the opening of the intersection at Woodmen and Banning Lewis Parkway, is expected by the end of 2024 barring any unforeseen weather or construction complications.” 
• Oakwood will work to keep the community updated on the progress to ensure this critical roadway is completed.
